I began practicing law in Ohio in 1988. Over the past twenty years, I have represented hundreds of clients in a variety of types of matters, mainly in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death and civil litigation. I have earned the respect of my peers, having served as President of the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys, as a member of the Executive Committee of the Ohio Association of Justice, and by receiving the AV rating, the highest rating possible, from the peer review process of Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, reflecting the confidential opinions of the Bar and the judiciary in my practice area.

I have represented and advised clients in federal court, in the state courts of common pleas in many counties in Ohio, in municipal courts, and in countless private and court ordered mediations and arbitrations, as well as in pre-suit negotiations and in the appellate process. In addition, I have been asked by other attorneys and the courts to serve as a mediator and arbitrator, helping parties come to agreements through the alternative dispute resolution process. I have presented a number of lectures on legal topics over the years, and also have served as an expert witness on attorney practice matters and insurance coverage matters.

I received my law degree from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University, and my B.A. from Wittenberg University. My professional training began in law school when I clerked for a large defense litigation firm and handled claims for an independent insurance adjusting firm. My education continued upon graduation where I worked as an apprentice lawyer to the President of the Ohio Trial Lawyers Association and then worked my way up to partner of a very well regarded civil trial firm. I opened my own practice in 2007.

Beside a belief in the law, I believe strongly in community and family involvement. My wife Kate and I have two children and, starting with their preschool years, we have both served in several capacities in our community as volunteers. I also served as an elected official in our town for 4 years.
